Find Your Passion Before You Start an Information Business

In a world where everyone and their little brother teaches you to begin your online business with research into keywords, hot in-demand markets and best-selling products, it may come as a shock to be told to look into yourself first – and find your passion.
Yet if there is one thing that fifteen years working on my home business has taught me that I would wish to share with you, it is that passion is key to success.

Passion helps you last the course

Building a business is more like running a marathon than a sprint.  You need to hang in there, overcome hurdles and then win.

When you’re involved in doing things that you enjoy, love and are happy doing, time seems to fly and you don’t feel tired or frustrated.  That’s the biggest reason for sticking to what you love.

Passion provides you with motivation

As long as you are engaged in something that’s fascinating to you, you will want to do more of it, do it better than anyone else, and give your very best.  In a business context, this means your clients will get extra-ordinary value, and therefore keep coming back for more and bringing their friends along.

Passion is contagious

When you are passionate about what you do, your clients will feel it too.  And because the energy and excitement is transmitted to those around you, more people will want to come and join you in it – which means you get more business.

The biggest fallacy

Whenever I advice clients and students to tap into their passion, the first objection to be raised is that no one wants what they are passionate about.  True, not all that excites you will be eligible to build an information business around.  But then, you are not passionate about just one thing!

When you make a short list of things that fascinate you, I’m willing to bet you a fortune that at least one of them will be ideally suited to build an infoproduct business around.

Find that one thing – then build your empire upon it.

Success is yours.  I’ll even guarantee it!
